BAILEY BENNER

Meet Bailey

Bailey Benner began riding at the age of eight with Keith Alaimo at Landfair Farms in St. Augustine, Florida. Under Keith’s mentorship until the age of fifteen, she gained a deep understanding of the horse industry—learning everything from riding and horse care to nutrition, grooming, and the world of horse shows.

In 2018, Bailey was given the opportunity to ride and compete on "Brighton Paragon," affectionately known as "Perry" in the barn. Perry became Bailey’s first national-level mount. After months of dedicated training and developing a strong partnership, the duo competed at the USEF Pony Finals, placing fifteenth overall in the Regular Large Pony division among nearly 200 competitors. They later debuted at the prestigious Capital Challenge Horse Show.

In 2020, Bailey returned to Capital Challenge aboard "I.M. Gold" (“Rosie”), owned by The Benner Family Farm and trained by Keith Alaimo. Together, Bailey and Rosie earned the title of Reserve Champion in the WCHR Children’s Hunter Finals.

At fifteen, Bailey began training with top professional Rodney Bross, achieving numerous championships along the East Coast. In 2021, she discovered her passion for show jumping when she partnered with her first jumper, "Number One Z." Within two years, the pair progressed from the .95m to the 1.35m Medium Junior/Amateur Jumpers.

Now competing at heights up to 1.45m, Bailey is a successful amateur rider with aspirations of Grand Prix competition. She also has a growing passion for developing young horses, working closely with World Cup rider Jenni McAllister and 2024 Paris Olympic show jumping coach Steve McAllister. In addition, she trains in dressage under Herwig Radnetter, the 2024 Paris Olympic dressage coach for Team Austria.

Bailey is also pursuing studies in Equine Ortho-Bionomy and is a practicing bodyworker in the St. Augustine area. A dedicated horsewoman, she personally cares for all her horses with the support of her family and equine health experts.
